Andrew tells the story of Chorlton through its people, and through the buildings they lived in, the places they worked and what they would have seen as the moved around the village; he documents the change from a rural village several miles from Manchester, supplying the great city with farm and market garden produce, through the huge political, economic, industrial and social changes of the nineteenth century.
It will be available on Amazon, and is bursting with interesting stories, wonderful old photographs and drawings. Even if you don’t know Chorlton, you will be fascinated by its story!
