Hair

I really am not very good with managing my hair .. I guess I’m so busy thinking of other things or doing other things it comes fairly low on my list of priorities. I also think my hair conspires against me, and I have always enjoyed this story, which may be apocryphal, about the politician Shirley Williams, Baroness Williams of Crosby.

A colleague met her in the ladies’ room of the Houses of Parliament and Shirley was looking despairingly in the mirror at her hair, which was all over the place.

“I just don’t know what to with my hair, just look at it! I can never get it to look nice!” she exclaimed.

her colleague suggested that maybe if she went to a really top stylist and had it properly and professionally done by someone, say like Vidal Sassoon, then maybe she would be happier.

“But I’ve just come back from Vidal Sassoon!” Shirley replied!
