I’m really busy editing my next book to be published on Amazon… I hope by the end of February. As I’ve mentioned before when I’m actually writing I pound away on the computer, words flood out, deluge onto the page, an inundation of words! Now I’m going through ‘Night Vision’ viciously weeding out all the verbiage, and cutting it down to size.
I recently reviewed ‘The Suspicions of Mr Whicher’ and it was a really good bad example of too many words in a book, less really would have been much, much more.
I am proud to report I now have released 20,000 words into the ether, all destined for wherever deleted words go! There are also nearly eighty fewer pages (Word pages that is, I don’t know how that translates into Kindle or e-reader pages!)
Next task is to spell check yet again and then a final couple of read-throughs, out loud, or mumbling in the computer room as my husband describes it.

All the best of luck with it Lois! I know what a mammoth task it is! x

Thanks Ross! The hardest part is where there are sentences, paragraphs even that you really like but in your heart you know are rather corny, or irrelevant or even soppy!
