If you had to design a perfect pub you could not design one better than the Dolphin in Uphill, perfect in every way. Whatever you think makes a perfect pub. well-kept ale, extensive top shelf and wine selection, friendly and lovely staff, the perfect landlords, great grub… all can be found in the Dolphin. Add comfort and pleasant and comfortable surroundings, live music. folk night, poker night, quiz night, darts night, fish and chip shop… it goes on and on…
Beer in the Dolphin is always perfectly kept; up until recently we had the supreme Otter Ales as well as the rather lovely Doom Bar from Sharps Brewery. We have had a brief intermission with Potholer form Cheddar Ales, which although a fine beer and well-kept was not to everyone’s taste, and now we are on the might fine Bath Ales… and what is on the pump, the magnificent Gem!
Whoever designed the logo was a genius! The particular brew we have on now at the Dolphin (and mighty fine too as I can testify!) is Gem.
