My piggy

There is something just so appealing about pigs; maybe it is their knowing  intelligent eyes, maybe it’s their funny little curly mouths which so often look like s smile, whatever it is I find them irresistible  and if ever we found ourselves in a position to have a couple, I would. I love the variety that there are in pig world, golden pigs, blond pigs, black pigs, ginger pigs, pigs with markings, pigs of all different shapes and sizes. There are so many different types of pig too, each with its own characteristics, pot-bellied, Tamworth, Duroc, kune kune, Landrace, Hampshire, Old Spots, Saddleback…

One year my husband bought me one for Christmas, ok, so he was made of plastic (the pig, not my husband) but he is so charming; for a long time he lived in the house, now he is in the garden in among the rapsberry canes and with primroses at his trotters.piggy (2)
