The world of the Maverick’s fans was set alight by the issue of a new album, the first in ten years, and a terrific new album too! There are some great songs on it, all written by the delicious Mr Raul Malo; there is such variety too, non-stop dance numbers like ‘Born to Blue’, slow romantic songs such as ‘In Another’s Arms’ and the absolute show-stopper, the best thing he has ever written or sung ‘Call Me When You Get To Heaven.’
As a die-hard fan I had to get the album, and not only the English CD, but the American one too, and the vinyl, and a signed poster… and yes, I got the t-shirt! I was thrilled when I came home the other day and found my husband had put the poster, now framed, up on the wall in our sitting room!
