Alf Tupper completes London Marathon!

As you may by now know, my friend Dave Johnson aka Alf upper, entered the London marathon for the third time. he trained incredibly hard over many months, and despite a painful knee injury he kept on.

I have a message from Alf’s wife Sue:

Hi, thanks for your best wishes for Dave. In spite of the knee problem he did really well and finished in 4 hours and 25 seconds! That’s more than 7 mins faster than 2 years ago! We had a brilliant place to watch and cheer him on at 20 miles then dashed over to the finish!! He’s knackered and sore now but I’ll massage his legs when we get back to the hotel. Then it’s shower, rest and out with the three kids to celebrate!

Well done indeed to Dave, a fantastic effort and will have raised money for two very deserving charities, MIND, and Weston Hospicecare. I will bring you a race report as soon as I receive it, in the meantime if you are interested in these charities you can find them here:
