It’s always nice to meet my friend Andrew who I have known since I was eighteen. We spent an afternoon together recently and as we met just before lunch, having something to eat together seemed the ideal thing to do. We wandered from the station through Manchester, a city which I know well, but Andrew knows even better, and ended up at Dimitr’s Taverna. We once went to Greece together with our then partners and had a holiday full of laughter and sun and good food and wonderful wine. We spoke a little about that, reminiscing, and then had a wonderful lunch, meze and a chilled white wine… nothing could be better!
