Spirtle

 A spurtle and porridge… can you guess what you might use the spurtle for? Yes, stirring the porridge! I foolishly didn’t think to ask which was the stirring end, so for many years I was in fact stirring upside-down… I don’t think it affected the taste of the porridge! In case you’re wondering, the holding end is shaped like a Scottish thistle, the slightly rounded end is the stirrer!
