So many of my friends enjoy gin… usually with tonic and ice and a slice of lemon, sometimes in other cocktails… I wish I liked it… the elegant pleasure that my friends enjoy, I can’t tell you what is it abut gin that I don’t like, the smell certainly, the perfumy taste… Even so, I like the idea of gin, and was excited when I spotted the Plymouth Gin distillery in Plymouth (of course) which was founded in 1793.

Oh my. I could dive into that place head first. I will drink your gin and my gin, too. (Oh dear. I sound like a lush.) But I do love a good gin and tonic.

Next time we visit Plymouth I’m going to go for a tour, it sounds very interesting… even though I won’t be sampling the product afterwards!
