I was shopping the other day wearing my Otter beer t-shirt, and a woman came up to me and asked with a pleasant smile how I relaxed with an Otter.
I replied that I grasped my glass firmly and enjoyed a long swig of the delicious beer, Otter Ale of course. She was momentarily confused and then slightly embarrassed and said she thought the slogan on the back of my shirt ‘Relax with an Otter’ must be something to do with an otter sanctuary; she was interested in otters and would like to visit… sadly I don’t know of any such place, although we do occasionally have otters in the pill (drainage ditch) here in our village. With a further embarrassed laugh she hurried away and I didn’t see her again in the shop, maybe she left?
