Blue Ocean

We’ve been lucky enough to eat out several times recently… back onto hard tack and gruel next week! Last night we went to a lovely Thai restaurant,

Husband ringing to book restaurant: Good evening, is that the Blue Lagoon?

Manager: Yes sir, how can I help.

Husband: Can I book a table for four for 7:30, please

Manager: (silence…) No sir, this is the Blue Lagoon bathroom shop, I think you want the Blue Ocean Thai Restaurant

Husband: (tiny voice) thank you…. sorry…

I had forgotten how much I like Thai food. We had a platter of mixed starters and then had a green curry which was just yummy; it was more like a soup and I mean that in a good way. The sauce was very thin – in consistency, not in flavour, it was bursting with taste and quite hot! But for me, the best thing about it was the number of aubergines in it, perfectly cooked, firm texture, lovely flavour… wonderful. We also had a duck dish which was very good with plenty of chillies, and a prawn dish with loads of prawns. The three dishes complimented each other beautifully and we all agreed it was really delicious… can’t wait to go again!

(Oh and that’s a table napkin in front of my cousin, not some delicious starter!)
