Am I mad?

I threatened to do it last year… but I left it a little late… now I have two months to think about it… and finish ‘Flipside’, and start either ‘A Strong Hand From Above’ or ‘The Double Act’ (my two remaining completed novels which I need to edit to self publish on Kindle)… oh and do all the other things I do… So…

So I’ve signed up for national Novel Writing Month… it’s an on-line challenge to write a novel in a month! I’m thinking that maybe everything else in my life will have to go on hold… I’m thinking I may be blogging less, Facebooking less, sleeping less… but it is an exciting challenge… and I want to see how far I get and what I produce.

I never quite know where my stories are going when I start them; I never know which characters will fade away, which will suddenly spring out of a chance encounter and dominate the story; I never know what unexpected events will take me – and I hope the reader, by surprise…  But whatever happens and however far (or not far) I get, I will be keeping track of it here.

Whether I complete my novel or not, whether I get to the end of the month and find I’ve not written every day, or let things slip, I will still be pleased with myself and interested to see what I’ve produced. I’ll keep you informed!
