WRITER
Out in some lovely autumn sunshine the other day I saw this ploughed field and with the light on the furrows it just looked like waves on a choppy sea… and I thought, ‘earth…sea, earth… sea…’ and it reminded me of a series of books called ‘Earthsea’ by Ursula K. Le Guin’.
Darker thoughts arrived and I thought of the World War 1 paintings by Paul Nash of the ruined land in northern France and Belgium.
