Seasonal greetings to all! We woke up to blue skies and sunshine and I have to report that Father Christmas visited us during the night!
Allis quiet in our home as we drink our morning cup of tea, and I can’t help thinking about those households with children who have probably been up since the small hours… we’ve been there, we’ve had that! For parents Christmas Eve is always a balancing act between getting the children into bed early, knowing they will wake early, or keeping them up a little later hoping they will sleep a little later..
We are having a leisurely day, a late breakfast, opening gifts which we’re so fortunate to receive, a light lunch, over to visit my sister in her care home, and then we will have our Christmas meal this evening.
Happy Christmas everyone!

I have just come back from Christmas Day at my sister’s. I hope your day was as delightful as mine. All the best, and thanks for all the enjoyable blogs!

Merry Christmas to you and yours Lois. Last night as the candles got smaller our bellies got bigger over here in Canada. I sure miss England and I envy the fact that you live within walking distance of youre local. One day I hope to make it there for quiz night and sample the Otter beer.

If you miss quiz night on Tuesday, fear not, there is a quiz night at our other nice pub, the Ship, and that is on a Thursday, and they also have very fine, well-kept beer! Happy Christmas, David, and best wishes for the New Year!
