Many years ago I started learning Tai Chi, from an amazing teacher… I loved it, I loved the class, and made some good friends as well as enjoying the exercise and the discipline and the beauty of Tai Chi! Now many, many years later I have found another teacher; he teachers a different style, but this week he introduced us to a new exercise involving a stick – and he suggested we use a rolling-pin. Now my rolling-pin is made of marble, so I went and bought a normal round-ended wooden one. I am really taken with this form of exercise (in addition to the Tai Chi form) and it is particularly helpful for wrists and hands. I think maybe because I do so much writing, my hands do get tired and stiff so this seems like a great way to exercise, and especially to exercise those parts which most need it.
This is Master Jesse Tsao, who is my teacher’s teacher

Now that is a form I would like to try as its a combination of the lower lever styles and the sword/staff style!
Alas the local instructor inst running this year 😦
