I came across Nicholas Bro when I watched Season 2 of The Killing; I hadn’t meant to watch Season 1… I had thought that watching so many episodes with subtitles which would be running over so many weeks was too much of a commitment even though it did sound very good and interesting, and the sort of thing I like to watch. I was ironing, I put on the TV to have playing away while I worked and with the iron in one hand, I went through the different channels. The opening sequence came up for The Killing, Season 1, the original Danish version, not the American one… and I was hooked! An hour later, I still had the iron in one hand, the TV remote in the other and I had not ironed a single item but had just stood transfixed watching as the drama unfurled.
The acting, the direction, the music, the drama, the talent! What a first class piece of TV! I watched the whole series, and it didn’t disappoint me with all the twists and turns and different themes and story lines. I have to confess, I did guess who the murderer was, but towards the end I thought I was mistaken… even so the actual ending was a complete surprise!
Season 2 arrived and I was very anxious in case it wasn’t as good or I didn’t enjoy it as much… but it was equally good as the first season… and I fell in love, I fell in love with Nicolas Bro who played the part of the Justice Minister. He is such an amazing actor, who conveys so much just with his eyes, or the twitch of his eyebrows… I won’t give away the ending but I felt like crying!
He was born in 1972, and he has a complete theatrical family! His mother is an actress, father is an actor, both his brother and sister are in the profession, as are his two aunts.
Gosh, what a talented clan!
