This is such a lovely photo of my mum’s cousin getting married in 1947; also in the photo are my grandparents and it is a wonderful picture of them looking so happy and relaxed with such spontaneous expressions.
But who, who are the other people? Relatives I am sure, and I think one is the groom’s brother and mother, and another gentleman has a ‘family’ look so maybe he is also a cousin. But the other people who are they? Some I think must be my grandma’s brothers family, so the cousins of my mum, and some must be related to the bride… or maybe this was the picture with just our clan who the bride is marrying into.
I don’t suppose I will ever know, but it is a precious picture, just because of my grandparents.

This wonderful photo is of Howard & Augustine Walford’s wedding. Augustine was Belgium and I imagine Howard met her during the war. Others in the photo include Howard’s brother Eric (on the far right), and his wife Margaret (next to the bride). Also, my grandparents – Edward (Ted) Walford (far left with the hat in his hand) and Vera Walford (top row left with glasses. I remember them so well.
