This is the second anniversary of my blog!
The first post I wrote was about the book I had published, Farholm, the story of a woman trying to understand why her husband had deceived her in the particular way he died and she has to go to the island of his birth to find answers.

It was the only post I made that day, and I have to say I was very nervous about how it would be received! I continued writing, posts and found myself enjoying it more and more… and suddenly to my surprise it was a whole year since I had started!

In that first year I completed nine hundred posts, and enjoyed writing every one of them. On the day of my anniversary I posted a story about Edna St Vincent Millay, I wrote about my very talented knitting friend, about my husband building his own cajón, and it was the third day of the urban retreat I was undertaking.

So today I have written about grammar, about writing a story and about making piccalilli! I am very proud to have written 2,330 posts, I am so grateful to have so many lovely people following me, and so thankful for all the nice, helpful, kind and perceptive comments… oh and downright funny comments, which people have taken the trouble to make.
Thank you everyone!

Congratulations! I remember my first blog too, that excitement – but nervousness — when I pressed ‘Publish’!
