I really do like penguins, not that I want a pet penguin, or that I want to collect things with penguins on them… nor would I go and see a cute film about them… but I just like the image of a penguin. They seem to be everywhere since I wrote about Penguin books the other day; I saw some beer called something like Penguins on Parade… but when I tried to find what it is, I just came across Penguin Brewery in Australia,

Why penguins should lend themselves to advertising beer I can’t imagine, but Brew Dog also make a fearsome ale, Tactical Nuclear Penguin, the world’s strongest beer:

To cap it all, reading through our local paper, I see that the local Women’s Institute, which meet in the village hall next door to our house, had a talk on Penguin books…
