Spending a week in the Netherlands with dear friends is always wonderful! Great country, great people, great friends! Music brought us together, and we do spend a lot of time when we are together playing it, listening to it, talking about it, especially about our all time favourite band, the Mavericks. My friend is a great line-dancer, she once took me along to the class and I had a go… oh dear, what a mistake, what a laugh, what a hoot! Now I go with her but I just sit and watch and enjoy the music! So it is no surprise then that I should be sharing a song by them. Here’s an acoustic version of ‘Born to be blue’, such a sweet song, even though I don’t think any of us are actually born to be blue!!
