You may very well know the artist I’m thinking of by my featured photo which is the foot of a statue of him… It’s on Morecambe prom if that gives you a clue. The title too, is the beginning of an iconic scene and ‘musical interlude’ from a great comedy series… the full title of the song I’m thinking of is ‘Boom ooo yata-ta-ta…’
The artist is always associated with his partner, Ernie Wise, famous for his short fat hairy legs… and of course I am thinking of Eric Morecambe, born Eric Bartholomew in 1926 and died far too young in 1984. They were partners in comedy since they were boys and had the nation in stitches.
