The Mavericks are releasing their new album soon… I can hardly wait! I have resisted listening to any of the sound bites or excerpts or clips so when I get my CD and stick it into the player then that will be the first time I shall here any of it!
On the first listen there will be songs which immediately strike a chord (ha-ha!) songs which I may not immediately like, some my sound reminiscent of others or be so completely new and different that at first it may be difficult to know what to make of them! But I know I will then be playing it virtually non-stop and gradually favourites will emerge and I might have to keep pressing replay to hear them over and over.
Their last album ‘In Time’ was simply magnificent… can they match it? Of course they can!
