Out with friends we had a wonderful Italian meal, everyone’s meals looked splendid, and I think they must have all tasted as good as mine because all plates were empty!
I had pasta with dolcelatte cheese and spek with just a sprinkling of rocket over the top. It was wonderful, light and tasty, just the thing to set me up before going to see the Mavericks in concert!
Back home I tried to recreate it… and yes, it was OK, but only OK, not as yummy and delcious as what I had eaten when out with my friends. I couldn’t quite work out where I had gone wrong… but after a little internet exploration I discovered that as well as the cheese (and I didn’t put enough of that into the sauce) I should have added cream, that would have really given it the rich, smooth sauce which I had so enjoyed.
Next time, I shall add cream next time!
