I’d struggled and struggled and struggled to get my front cover for ‘Raddy and Syl’ as I wanted it… and eventually, hurrah! I liked it and it seemed to work. Raddy and Syl are two characters in my latest novel, Raddy is a nickname for Edward Radwinter and Syl is short for Sylvia, his wife.
I had my creative writing group today and I was bringing them up to date on my progress as we went round sharing what writing we had been doing, and one of them said “Oh that’s an interesting name, ‘Raddy and Sy 1’…” I had to explain about her name – she had thought it was like Symon #1… oh dear! Look at my featured image and you will see exactly what she saw!
I will have to change the font which actually isn’t easy because I will have to go back and do the cover again, making sure this time the font is readable and understandable. Thank goodness she spotted it, thank goodness I can change it! There are a couple of other little things not quite right so it’s just as well.
Back to the drawing board, literally!
