We’ve had a very nice time recently, being away, visiting friends, going to weddings, going on holiday, and whenever these happy events happen there is usually food, lovely food happening as well. Dutch pancakes, tapas in the Netherlands and tapas in Richmond Surrey, a wedding breakfast in Richmond Park, holiday meals cooked by our family while we were in Kent, a new Bangadeshi restaurant in our home town, and most recently a week of gloriously diverse food and magnificent breakfasts in the USA… oh nad the meals on the aeroplanes were good too!
So, back home, and yes it is Father’s Day, so yes, we are going to take the dad in the house out for a meal, but really, dieting has to commence! Since we had such success on the 5:2 diet last year, we are doing it again – we’ve had a bit of a rocky start as yesterday, day 1, we had been really good, done really well, weren’t hungry, when a couple of sear friends who we haven’t seen for over a year, called us from our local pub… so we went to meet them…
Tomorrow we will start again, working to 6-700 calories, we will be eating with more mindfulness, enjoying our meals, and, we hope, losing a few pounds too!
