Busking in Bath

It was a lovely early autumn day and we went to Bath; we didn’t go for any particular reason or purpose, only that Bath is a favourite city and we always find something of interest and something to do and look at.

As usual we wandered around; we hope to find a friend of ours who busks there with his band when he’s not playing gigs here there and every there…

Unfortunately I think we had to head for home before he and the lads arrived. However we were amazed at the buskers we did see… wow, what talent! We saw an amazing Canadian  guitarist who played his own music with great flourishes, using the guitar percussively. We saw a singer, standing playing and singing with the most incredible voice, and then we saw a young chap, who only appeared about fifteen but may have been older, with an amazing voice – he certainly had real talent and i wouldn’t be surprised to see him having success in the future.

We were having coffee, and heard some playing outside the café… it sounded rather Greek, and sure enough when we went out side there were tow men, sitting casually, just lounging and playing and singing… One had an accordion the other a bouzouki, and what a wonderful sound they made. I could have stood watching them all afternoon, but we had to go… I hope I’ll see them again next time!
