Inspiration comes from many different sources… much like rivers which may start from springs which in turn come from somewhere else.
I am working on a novel now, something I started to write maybe ten years ago, finished five years ago, and hope to publish in the next few months. I have been inspired in so many different ways by this band, the Mavericks. It is not just their music, the melodies, the lyrics… not just seeing them perform and the friends I have met through my love of their music, it is how my imagination has been inspired and triggered by the actual band and the different personalities. I have met them on a few occasions, but obviously, I don’t ‘know’ them… however, my imagination has used these experiences and somehow creates something else…
