I do have to say in defence of the Wurzels, they are from Somerset, so their accent is bound to be different from the way Cornish people speak!
Fascinating! Some of my ancestors came to the US from Cornwall in the 19th century (from around Truro, I believe) – it’s fun to imagine what they may have sounded like!

I got the chance a number of years ago to visit briefly – I sure agree it’s a beautiful and dramatic place! And I do hope to return and dive deeper into the region and my roots! In the meantime, it’s nice to visit through your posts!
