A couple of days ago I wrote about the number of really well-known songs and pieces of music and even national anthems have their basis in a string of chords from Johann Pachelbel’s canon… yesterday I shared a really kitch but great ear worm of a 1960’s song, ‘Rain and tears’ by Aphrodite’s Child, a band which included Vangelis and Demis Roussos. Here is a polar opposite, but equally kitch, ‘Go West’; it was a 70’s hit for the Village People, but here is an extended video which is almost surreal from the Pet Shop Boys:
