Earworm… sounds disgusting if you don’t know what it means, but actually it’s just a piece of music stuck in your head, nothing sinister, just very irritating because you can’t get rid of it, and of course as soon as it’s gone you think ‘thank goodness it’s gone’ and bam! it’s back! Unfortunately there is a medical condition which causes auditory hallucinations, including hearing music which isn’t actually playing,
