The Walker Bothers were not brothers, in fact none of them were born with the name Walker. Scott Walker was actually born as Noel Scott Engel in 1943 in Hamilton, Ohio, Gary Walker was born Gary Leeds in 1942 in Glendale, California – he was the drummer and also vocalist and John Joseph Maus who was born in New York City in 1943 and sadly died in 2011, became John Walker.
Their sod was lush and gorgeous and they had more hits and were more popular in the UK than in the USA, and although they recorded many songs, these are the ones I remember:
- Make It Easy on Yourself
- My Ship Is Coming In
- Young Man Cried
- Don’t Want to Hear It Any More
- Deadlier Than the Male
- The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore
- Just Say Goodbye
- I Need You

A deep shade of blue is always there
The sun ain’t gonna shine anymore
The moon ain’t gonna rise in the sky
The tears are always clouding your eyes
When you’re without love, baby
There’s nothing to lose but no more to win
The sun ain’t gonna shine anymore
The moon ain’t gonna rise in the sky
The tears are always clouding your eyes
When you’re without love
Girl, I need you
I can’t go on
The moon ain’t gonna rise in the sky
The tears are always clouding your eyes
When you’re without love

Oh a blast from the past! I adored the Walker Brothers
