‘Walking in the rain with the one I love’ runs through my head every time I walk in the rain, especially if I’m with someone I love. Sung by Love Unlimited and released in 1972, it was produced by Barry White, who was the sexy voice on the phone.
Tonight daughter and I braved the torrents of rain to walk along the beach with dog. Drenched within seconds of leaving the car we strode into the face of the wind driven downpour, our clothes not covered by raincoats were sodden and clung to us. Did we mind? No, we didn’t!
April 30th 2021 would’ve been Captain Tom Moore’s 101st birthday; in recognition and in remembrance of his achievement, a new challenge was announced by his family. They challenged ordinary folk to complete a hundred somethings to raise more funds for The Captain Tom Foundation – ‘whether you bake 100 cupcakes or walk 100 laps – help celebrate Captain Tom’s achievements.’ The official ‘Captain Tom 100’ has now finished, but I’ve challenged myself to write a 100 word blog each day for 100 days. I started on May 1st and when I complete my task, I’ll donate £100 to his Foundation.

I love what you are doing.💖 I wouldn’t mind walking in the rain with my dog but she hates getting wet. If it starts to rain when we are out, my husband jumps in his Jeep to pick us up or she will try to climb up under my jacket. Luckily she is not a big dog – but she is not that small either!

Yes, our boy doesn’t mind what the weather is! He really doesn’t even notice the rain, but he won’t go in the sea – he runs up to the tideline and then runs away as the waves come towards him! Your dog sounds adorable – and what a kind husband to come and rescue you!!

I do have a wonderful kind husband- but I don’t think he comes to rescue ME exactly.
