It must have been at the end of June that I saw a little video on Facebook of a young woman singing, and for some reason, maybe she reminded me of a friend from long ago, I clicked play. She was wearing an extraordinary crown of leaves and antlers, and there followed a dream-like sequence – wandering beneath trees, ripples across water, a musician with a leafy wreath strumming a guitar – I un-muted it and listened. I’m not sure exactly how to describe it, she had a wonderful, clear voice – reminding me a little of Grace Slick from Jefferson Airplane, entrancing, engaging, strong… I was captivated!
They are Greenness and I found their site, and this is what I discovered about them:

I couldn’t resist, I immediately bought one of their CDs, having just seen that one little video. It arrived remarkably quickly and went straight onto the player. It’s quite magical and captivating, not just the wonderful voice of Cess Frangi, but the lyrics and the music of Graham Pratt running beneath.
I love what they wrote about their work – “Everything here is freshly harvested from the creative minds of producer/visual artist/multi-instrumentalist Graham, and singer-songwriter-performer Cécile (Cess).” It is the perfect way of describing many creative processes – including writing, of course!
Do please have a listen to them, I’m sure you’ll be entranced!

Definitely reminiscent of the 1970s, which is rather unexpected in the 2020s! She has a remarkable voice. Thanks for sharing.
