as simple as that

This is rather a delicious dish for two – it’s so delicious that my husband who isn’t keen on cabbage or fish, loved it!

  • ½ a savoy cabbage
  • 1 tin of cannellini beans and their water
  • tarragon
  • finely chopped onion and crushed garlic
  • 1 carton of passata 
  • 2 inches of spicy chorizo, quite finely chopped (or in bigger chunks if you prefer)
  • 400 g cod loin
  1. fry off the onion and garlic in butter or oil (your preference)
  2. add chorizo 
  3. add remaining ingredients –  except the cabbage and cod
  4. when cooked add cabbage, stir in, then add cod
  5. cover and cook on medium heat for 5-8 minutes

It really is as simple as that. When I was served it there was no bread, but I thought a nice crunchy stick would have been perfect for mopping up all the lovely sauce.
