The really hard grind

Technical issues resolved – but now the really hard grind commences. I finished my eighth and possibly final Radwinter novel several years ago, but have been stumped by technical issues (plus various other difficulties) so it has been languishing,, and I have been too. I’ve continued to write here, I’ve continued to write my short stories, but my mojo has definitely been depleted.

So today there began the lifting of the major stumbling block to editing Rad VIII – possibly to be called ‘Riptide’, although ‘Ever decreasing circles’ might be better except there was a very well-known and popular TV series with that title. I have the completed story, now I need to edit out all the errors, typos, non sequiturs, repetitions and boring bits, divide it into chapters, proof read it, load a proof copy and read/check that, final corrections, cover design, print layout – by which I mean title page, blurb, dedication, index if I decide to have one, back pages with lists of other books in series and other books… It sounds boring and in a way it is, but my heart will be light because I will be making progress and heading towards  getting it out in the world!

So, 22:30, glass of wine, no distractions, ready, steady… go!!
