I am a writer living in the west of England; I have written fourrteen novels, my latest being 'Winterdyke' This is the latest of the seven Radwinter genealogical mysteries series, all available on Amazon - the eighth in the series due to appear in early summer. I have written seven other novels, a guide to writing, three stories for reluctant readers and two anthologies with other writers. All are available as eBooks and paperbacks. Muchelney… before the flood

The village of Muchelney has been cut off for over a month, an island community now because of the floods We visited last summer, on a lovely dayI think the church is on higher land, but the villagers, and their livestock are in grave trouble. nearby villages have been evacuated.

Porlock Weir

The wind is howling round our house, and I can hear things breaking outside. The sea is about a quarter of a mile away, and we are quite safe because of our excellent sea defences, but I wonder what it is like further down the coat, at Porlock Weir, for example?
