Magnificent

I had very mixed feelings about seeing this handsome and proud animal sitting staring back at the visitors in the zoo. He is a mature orang utan from Borneo. The zoo does wonderful work by captive breeding, and helping to protect endangered species, but somehow the dignity of the animal seems compromised.
