It looks so beautiful… it tasted so wonderful.. ostrich on scrambled egg… yes, scrambled egg… I can’t remember a better meal! – oh and this was just the starter! I actually didn’t eat this – but my dining companions did! Yes, this is eating out in a small village in the Netherlands with dear friends!

Strawberry salad

… and in today’s salad we have: mangetout peas parsley pineapple lettuce spinach tomatoes grapes cauliflower celery cucumber spinach purple sprouting broccoli yellow pepper courgette avocado and yea, strawberries!

Home grown!

The garden is doing brilliantly this year and here is a nice little salad I put together, all home-grown except the feta cheese! Spinach, mint, dill, peas, purple mange-tout, baby broad-beans, marjoram and dressed with sea salt and coarse ground black pepper and chilli flakes, strawberries and raspberries to finish… the taste of summer!
