Knightshayes Court is a Victorian mansion set in the beautiful and lush countryside of Devon. It was designed by William Burges for the Heathcoat -Amory family and completed in the 1870’s. It has beautiful gardens, jardin potager, tea-room and the house itself is fascinating and always worth a visit.
We often go to Devon to visit our friends, and while the boys play golf, my friend Janet and I go frequently go to Knightshayes. These days we just wander in the lovely gardens, a joy at any time of the year, and then go to the tearoom.

Oh, the trees and flowers…and a rooster!
