Yesterday being St Pat’s Day, there were lots of great WordPress blogs celebrating the event, one I particularly enjoyed was about the connection between Ireland and Iceland. Vikings settled in Iceland bringing with them many Irish slaves, many of whom were women, so a lot of Icelandic people today have Irish ancestry! I found this post so interesting because last year I went with my Gaelic group to Iceland to explore the connection between the two beautiful countries.

I wonder what those artifacts are in the top photo? I’d assume they have something to do with the ocean probably but to me they look like ancient BBQ grills!
