Liebster award!!

I have been nominated for an award…  TheLiebsterAward!

I really appreciate the nomination, and I would like to say thank you to ://tinasrabbithole.wordpress.com/ Tina is Norwegian but lives in Vienna – I’ve visited one place and loved it, and would love to visit the other place! Tina writes about living in Vienna and posts some wonderful pictures of every day life, sometimes from an interesting and quirky angle… I really recommend you drop by and have a look!

As part of the award I have to tell you 10 things about myself…

  1. One of my favourite TV programmes is ‘Time Team’, an archaeological programme which has the premise of the team having just three days to do a dig; I love it because it’s so interesting, I’m mad about history and the personalities of the archaeologists  historians, finds experts, and presenter are such fun. http://www.channel4.com/programmes/time-team
  2. My favourite mustard is Colman’s English; I like the hot, pepperiness but also the actual mustard flavour is very pronounced
  3. I have visited The Netherlands, France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Italy, Spain, Greece, Singapore, the USA, Ireland and Iceland
  4. On the walls of the room I am sitting in is a picture entitled ‘The Bookworm’ of an old man in a library, a calendar my husband made for me, a picture of Staithes in Yorkshire by Robin Kildea, a poster from The Mavericks Tour of 2003, a picture of a Spitfire, a picture of a clown, and a display of photos from Iceland
  5. I have always wanted to be a writer – and now I am
  6. I learned Latin (unsuccessfully) when I was school, and French more successfully. I have also tried to learn German, Russian, Italian and Spanish, and am currently learning Gaelic.
  7. I would love to visit Tasmania, not just for a week but for a month or so to really get to know it a little. I’d also like to return to Iceland.
  8. I have nine living cousins, who have 16 children between them and ten grandchildren
  9. I love driving
  10. I have about seven writing projects on the go, two of which are very active!

I have been writing this blog for just over a year, and one of the unexpected – but very obvious pleasures I have got from it, are the other blogs I have read and follow. I have mentioned some of them previously, but here are some more I think are fascinating (and fun!) :

I hope you might visit some of these pages, and love them as I do!
