Raspberries!

We didn’t like the long autumn, winter and spring of rain but at least it meant that the plants had a good long soak and were growing nicely by the time we actually are getting some sun. Apparently, although we don’t feel s if we’ve had much summer yet, and didn’t have much of a spring either, apparently we had lots of light. It shows in our garden which is bursting with vigorous and healthy looking plants.

Last summer was a rather disappointing show of vegetables, although our raspberries did magnificently, and they are all set do do magnificently again! In fact we had our first couple of ripe ones today and they were delicious! I am also happy to tell you that we have loads of peas and sugar peas coming along, also for the first time ever some broad beans (my favourite, plenty of potatoes of various sorts including pink fir apple potatoes, beetroot, onions (red and white) herbs, kale, cabbages, spinach, tomatoes and courgettes (I hope we manage to have our first ever courgettes, hey all rotted last year, and they are a favourite vegetable of mine!)
