I had hoped to publish my next novel, Flipside, soon but I have had a further hiccup. When I came to start editing it I found that I only had half of the text saved although luckily I had a complete hard copy. So I began the arduous task of copying out the rest from the copy I had; it was a useful way of editing as I went along, cutting out a lot of the repeats, slashing away the hyperbole and the over-egging from the pudding. I finished it and began an edit of the whole text from the beginning; I came across a few anomalies, for example chapters three, four and five were repeated for some reason. All was well until I reached the end of chapter 24… and went straight into chapter 26! Somehow I had not copied chapter 225… oh well, back to the keyboard!
(… and thank goodness I keep hard copies of everything!)

I feel for you Lois – I’ve had the same hiccups too. So frustrating! Good luck. x

Thanks Ross… it would be so wonderful if I had a publisher who would deal with all the editorial stuff then I could just concentrate on writing!
