All across the country children and teachers are celebrating the last day of term… No I no longer teach I only think about the excitement others are feeling. It’s always a big change because next term a child will be further up the school, no longer year seven and the youngest in a secondary school, or now year eleven, the oldest in school! Top juniors will be saying goodbye to their old schools and starting anew in September, some year elevens will be saying goodbye to education for ever! Old teachers will leave, new teachers will arrive… It’s a time of great excitement and transition, but before the change is complete, bring on the summer holidays!
