Who needs paradise?

Pub quiz last night, this time at the Ship; we were drinking Bob, a great beer from Wickwar Brewery, a fine beer producer and a fine beer. The quiz is different from the one we regularly go to in the Dolphin, it has six rounds which include a music round and the landlord’s round which is always very tricky and has a special prize if  anyone gets all ten questions right!

Needless to say, we didn’t win but we had a most enjoyable evening. In the music round, this song was included… it really took me back to my youth, and also really stands the test of time!

Amen Corner were a seven-piece Welsh band formed in 1966 which had many hits.
