A little project

I fell in a sort of limbo having at last published ‘Flipside’ and not yet ready to start editing my next novel. I have a sort of restlessness, wanting to write, or do something, but not quite ready for a big undertaking. So until I’m ready to start flexing my writing muscles, I’m putting together all the posts I’ve done on writing, gathering together all I’ve written about characters, beginnings and endings, editing, describing places, narrative… and my five ‘So you want to write…’ posts.

I’m not sure what I shall do when I have them altogether, or how I will edit them; I’m not sure whether I’ll cobble the different posts into ‘chapters’ or whether I shall edit them but keep them separate and in date order… I really don’t know until I’ve got them altogether and weeded out any repeats  and tidied up any which are ungainly or out of hand. Then what?

Publishing is free on Kindle Direct Publishing; all it costs is time and effort, so maybe I could put the end product out as an e-book. Maybe I’m thinking ahead too much, maybe I should just wait until I see what sort of river I have to cross and what sort of bridge will take me over the river.
