I just adore chilli… and i do like it really, really hot but only if there is plenty of flavour too, I’m not keen on hot just for hotness, there has to be that perfect blend of sweet/sour/bitter and flavour as well as heat.
At the Weston-super-Mare Food Festival there was a friendly young man from the Wiltshire Chilli Farm, and as with all these things there was a range of chilli sauces and condiments to try, so I went to the hottest ones and wow, fabulous! Tremendous kick and a wonderful flavour. I tried several before I chose the one I wanted made from Chocolate Jolokia chilli – which has a gorgeous warm chocolatey flavour as well as a mighty blast of volcano. There were so many other products I wanted to buy, they all looked wonderful, great packaging and gorgeous colours from brilliant yellows to flame reds and every shade of orange in between.
