Have a listen to this… I know Roy Orbison is the master… but really I honestly have to say that I think Raul Malo betters him… sorry if you disagree… I think Raul has a stronger, warmer voice with a great mellowness and subtlety.
Blue Bayou,written and recorded by Rory Orbison in 1963 is sensational… but in my opinion, Raul sings it with such feeling and tenderness that I think it is better. (Heresey I know, but it’s my hones opinion!)
