Out of the blue…

As you may know, I’m very family oriented… I only have one sister, but I am very close to my cousins and not only keep in regular contact but go on holiday with them… all at once! That means there is anything up to thirty people! Such fun!

I am also very interested in my family tree, and my ancestors, and I have written on here about my search for more information, particularly about my family connection with Tasmania. I was surprised ad delighted the other evening when I received a message from someone who, we realised, is a distant cousin of mine! My great-grandfather was the brother of her great x? grandmother! She lives thousands of miles away, and yet we have made a connection. I messaged another distant cousin who I have become close to, and she rang me tonight and I shared my news… and we have arranged to get together in February, to catchup with each others news, and just for the pleasure of being in each other’s company.

That is the great thing about being interested in your family… and the great thing about modern interconnected-ness… You never know who might contact you, out of the blue!

It’s in Plymouth… we went there last summer (to see the Mavericks, of course) and spent a couple of days there… it is a lovely city and I’m looking forward to visiting again!

Yes, under my author name, although I want to get rid of my FB author page and do a fan page for the books and characters instead. Am fed up with the stupid viagra spammer. Also. there are suddenly zillions of Eastern European Maria Thermann’s on FB – and one cheeky cow was even stating my willowthevampire.com blog was hers!

It is so annoying – the spammers are so inventive with the way they get round things – why don’t they put all that creative energy into doing something of their own! I hate and detest them!… and I don’t want to buy any of their stupid sunglasses either!

Thank you! I’m flattered! I saw Judy Dench play Juliet when she was much younger… and I was younger too… I have to say I’m not nearly as old as she is!!! An amazing actress, really amazing!
